Annual report 2026
More was there: a Bundesliga season of close games
In the Bundesliga a much better finish was possible. Close games and a lack of experience at this level held us back, and we did not manage promotion in T20.
ResultFinished behind what was possible
The season
After promotion in 2025, the Bundesliga was our first season in the top league of the German Cricket Federation. In sporting terms we had the quality to finish much higher than we did.
What we lacked was experience at this level. Many games were close, and in the decisive phases the more experienced teams more often had the longer breath. Those points were missing in the table at the end.
In T20 too we had set ourselves the goal of reaching the Bundesliga. We did not manage it.
Highlights
- First season in the DCB Bundesliga, the top league in 50-over cricket
- Winners of the Cologne Champions T10 League 2026
- Many close games against established Bundesliga sides, more points were within reach
What we take into the 2027 season
Winning close games
The games lost narrowly are the biggest lever for a better finish.
Experience at the higher level
A year in the Bundesliga helps: we now know the pace and the pressure of the league.
The T20 goal stays
Promotion in T20 did not happen, and it stays our next goal.
